but the good times will pass
fairytale romances
aren't meant to last
Cinderella gets wrinkles
Snow White's hair turns to gray
n handsomeness fades
wif each passing day
n thou they will struggle
thru sickness and health
they'll find all they're left with
is yesterday's wealth
for all that they had
all that held them together
were their good looks and palace
n a few years' good weather
but then when the storm comes
they both realize
dat no matter how truly
the sweet princess tries
or how many tears she have cried out
she can't make him love her
can't make him care for her
she can't recreate
wad never was there
n all that she's left with
is lonely despair
n so for all storybook

for through all the beauty,
the joy and the laughter,
